Attend the Auction
The best way to buy books at our auctions is to attend the sale. Auctions are held twice monthly at the historic Hotel Northampton in Western Massachusetts, an easy and scenic drive from anywhere in the Northeast. There are many attractive options for dining and recreation nearby, and the Hotel Northampton offers a special rate for those attending the sale. Our uncatalogued sales always offer interesting surprises, and all auctions are available for preview from 2 - 6:30pm the day of the sale.

Bid in advance by phone or fax
For those who cannot attend, we will execute advance bids on catalogued items. If you're new to New England Auctions, please contact us in advance of the sale. We'll get your contact and shipping information, and ask you to fax in government-issued proof of identity and a signed copy of the Terms and Conditions of Sale, which appear in every catalogue. To place your bids, you can fax in a Bid Sheet until noon on the day of the sale, or place your bid by telephone at our office number, (413)665-3253. You can also telephone us at the hotel to place bids on the day of the sale. That number is (413)584-3100, and day of sale calls can only be accepted between noon and 5:30pm EDT.
