About Us
| New England Book Auctions has been operating since 1980, originally as Oinonen Book Auctions, and since March 2001 as New England Book Auctions, under the direction of Leif Laudamus. Each year we conduct twenty four auctions, and publish twelve catalogues of rare books, manuscripts, maps, prints, graphics, ephemera, and related materials. Each catalogue contains bibliographical descriptions of each lot, and the prices realized from these sales help set the fair market value for all antiquarian books, as they are published each year in Amertican Book Prices Current and British Book Auction Records. Our catalogues are distributed worldwide. The auctions are held in the historic Hotel Northampton in Northampton, Massachusetts, in the heart of the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts. Our sales are convenient to reach by highway from both the New York and Boston metropolitan areas, and are forty-five minutes from Bradley International airport in Connecticut. Subscriptions to our catalogues are $90 per year in the USA & Canada, or $120 per year overseas (airmail). Quality consignments are always welcome.
